The directors of the company Richard Laidlaw, Rosslyn Laidlaw and Tony Carpenter all have extensive backgrounds in the entertainment industry and are devoted to developing talented students for work in a very exciting industry.

In 1985 Richard Laidlaw returned to Adelaide from touring as a performer and decided to start a Production Company “Essential Talent” to produce entertainment for the International Market. It wasn’t long before the company had established it’s self as a leader in Asia. He then developed the company in Australia to representing Australian Variety Performers and started producing entertainment for the Shopping Malls and Corporate Market in Australia

This was the very beginning of what has become an entertainment empire.

Next came the development of the entertainment school which has blossomed into Adelaide’s leading school for entertainment arts. However it wasn't to stop there, Richard expanded yet again with the purchase of ACTORS INK in 2001 and then again with the purchase of SA Freelancers an agency representing Film Crew and Technicians in 2009
